isn't it a pity that our society emphasizes very
much on how an indivual performs on the surface ?
everyone is judge based on their performance ..
since the day you are born till the day u die ..
physical training tests , academic exams ,what have u , blah blah ..
if you do something wrong , people mark you down ,
this person cannot make it la without even considering other factors ..
the slightest mistake puts u down by one point ..
even the way one expresses their love foranother one is also being judge ..
he bought her an expensive diamond ring ,he must love her alot huh ..
he didn't get her anything , that shows how much she means to him ..
this person so fat , must be lazy , a good for nothing ..
what really matters to people is what the person has achieved ..
they dont bother what the person has done to achieve what he has achieved ..
like what a friend told me which i find sad but true ..
it doesn't matter to our fellow singaporeans back home ,
how tough / easy this competition is ..
what really matters , what matters only , is what u have won ..
and the only way u can hear people praise you is to win the gold
nothing lesser or u'll hear unpleasent remarks ..
like what is used to describe some music stuff ..
on the surface , the swan glides through the water ever so elegantly ,
what is really happening beneath is oblivious to the eyes ..
a more obvious example would be the exams students go through in schools ..
fail means stupid , pass is okok , distinction is gd ..
and from the streaming exams ..
students are segmented into the different streams avaliable for them ..
for slow learners Normal and blah blah ..
but are all of them really slow ?
there are quite intelligent students there too ..
yet they are all condemned as plain stupid ..
from this examples we can tell that what
people really wanna see are just results results results ..
no one really cares about the behind the scenes work ..
this perfomance based society of ours certainly has produced some good stuff ..
but at the same time its has also brought on us many disadvantages too ..
sad to say , only the fittest survive ..
